brakes for 1996 accord lx
I'm just starting off...just bought an accord with about 69k on it...need to get the brakes done ..so i'm thinking of starting off with the brakes first...
I've heard how semi metallics have good braking but wear the rotors down quickly and produce a lot of ugly dusting...so I'm thinking bout ceramics..almost same braking as semi metallics..but way less dust and noise**. how good are the aem's ..or are pbr's better....and what are thermaquiets ...i keep hearing about thermaquiets by wagner/federal mogul..are they any good... and what shops are there around north jersey (where i'm at)...please don;t mention rayco..they're way overpriced...
thanks from a rookie

I am not going to share too much advice cause I don't know if I have any good advice except from what I know ceramic are the way to go. The only thing I would say is if they are disc why don't you consider doing them yourself? Brakes are really easy to do and that would save you a lot of money that you could use towards better brakes. Just a thought.
Ok!! I went and ordered the aem pads..it's a used car so i most likely have stock rotors in the front..see how that works out... I've never done more than change the bulbs so i'll ask a buddy to show me how to do the brakes...
