um... airbag? i doubt its a bolt-in. even non-srs wheels don't bolt right in. my bf has a JDM ITR wheel in his CRX and it took a lot of work to make it bolt right in correctly (no wobbles, high beams work, turn signal canceller works).

the seats DEFINITELY won't bolt right in. honda doesn't make any seats that directly bolt into another model honda that i know of. even EF HB seats don't bolt into a CRX (same year). also different year CRX seats (88-89 different from 90-91) don't bolt in. trust me i just spent part of saturday swapping pans and rails from my stock seats to my JDM CRX seats.

its rare for honda to make swapping parts between models easy. i could try it because i have an RSX-S and a CRX, but i think its a waste of time. the RSX seats are considerably bigger than CRX seats, i don't see them fitting well at all, much less being a direct bolt-in.

Ding Ding Ding! Here comes the clue train! We're talking about EF's here, not EG or EK. The seat situation in EF land is a bit of a mess. From what I've gathered it goes as such.

88 HB Seats only fit 88 HB
88 CRX Seats only fit 88 CRX
89 HB Seats only fit 89 HB
90-91 HB only fit 90-91 HB
89-91 CRX only fit 89-91 CRX

Interchangability between almost identical models with the EF's becomes a challange. So get some info before you yell at someone.

no seats past 92 will fit in a crx bolted up, the seat brackets are too wide because thats when they started the universal fit for hondas. i have 95 gsr seats in my rex and it took a while to figure out...i highly doubt the steering wheel would bolt up in a rex

No, because the hubs are different. Period.

You would have to do fabrication to even get it on.

Then you would have a non-functional airbag sitting there that you paid an extra several hundred dollars for.

Buy a '96+ Civic if you want to directly bolt an RSX wheel into something

i said "that i know of" i don't claim to be an expert but i know several people who have tried to put various mis-matched-model seats into their honda/acura and have not had much luck. this includes HBs, CRXs, del sols, integras, civics. none of them have been a direct bolt-in without any modification, and that was the question that was asked.

If they're anything like the new si seats, hell yeah. aren't those **** heavy? they got airbags and electrical **** in them. if they're over 30 lbs . if only sparcos weren't so damn expensive.

time for the bf to chime in (me being rexerin's bf )

no newer Honda steering wheel is a "DIRECT" bolt in and same with the seats (as said above).

I am another member with an ITR steering wheel in his CRX (non SRS of course) and yes it "fits" but its wobbly and sloppy. I modified my steering shaft to get the wheel to sit properly and securly.

The seats, you can probably install, but its going to require custom bracketry, etc. eumoria did a great job of listing what seats bolt into what. the only way to get SOME seats to fit in EFs are to switch rails and possilbly the pans too.

so in short - no your RSX wheel wont bolt in, and no your RSX seats wont bolt in either. custom work will be needed.

P.S. good job sweetie! (I love having a girl who knows what she's talking about )

i just want to say that i really love those Japanese model CRX seats that are in rexerin's CRX; i have Recaros in mine (about 12 years old) that have that same overall look to them.

You can put any seat in any car, just need a welder and metal

Note: not my car

Also, here's bryants itr steering wheel. He said it had some play and wasn't comfortable with it, so he got a momo. Said he had to do a couple of things to make it work.

All this falls into my list of car mods that I just don't understand.

Explain away but I just don't see the point.

Correction: You just need to take the S2k pan out and put the CRX pan underneath. Then it just mounts onto the stock bolt holes. No welding needed.

well for me.. the ITR wheel and integra cluster was this: what would honda do IF they made the CRX a little longer. I have a 91 Si, and the only area where there was red, as the seats, and the Si badge on the back. So i tried to tie it in more in the design of the car. I wasn't doing it to be "different", mine thought is on design overall look of the car. I never wanted to take away from the CRX, just enhace what is there

here is my interior (sorry if you've seen it before )

aftermarket steering wheels are a must for me. i was never a fan of the stock piece. and i also put in the gsr cluster. i like having a tach that runs out to 8k now and generally looks better.
