Default Having Couple Problem's With my b18

first of all i sometime get a CEL for code 23 (Knock sensor)no idea why, and it only happens once in a while.( i first got it when i was racing the other night) then i went to start it up and it went to idle and just died. and wouldnt start back for couple mins. and then just tonight i relized that my VTEC isn't working. Now its been working fine, and all of a sudden i notice it. I was thinking sinse i did an oil change earlier today that maybe i didnt put enough oil in for the pressure to be correct, but then i remembered right after i did the change i took it out and the VTEC kicked right in.So i dont think it has to do with the oil pressure. But then again i only put in 4 quarts i think...maybe i should have put in 5??Im clueless as of right now. please let me know what you think.

Knock sensor disables VTEC if I'm not mistaken. If you're still getting the sensor code on and off, that could explain the VTEC behavior. But, if your car wouldn't idle and just died... that points to something more serious.

Bad batch of gas maybe? Shot in the dark there...

Do a compression test, those never hurt ya. Check your oil level, too. If you have a friend with a P28 ECU or something without a knock sensor, you could try that out and see how it runs.

when ever it going to idle in neutral it always seems like it about to stall. you can adjust the idling setting so to speak to what RPM you want it to idle it right? im also getting a code 17 for my VSS. and i was getting that before when my speedo ddint work, but once i replaced that last week it was fine. but for some reason im getting it again.

for that stalling problem you may want to check the connection to the main relay on ur ecu...usually thats the source of that problem
