question for anyone with a hood w/ inverted scoop/vent
I recently purchased a carbon fiber hood w/ inverted scoop for my Integra (see pic below). anyway, I was wondering for anyone that has this hood or a similar one... what do you do when it rains? doesn't water get all in the engine compartment? doesn't seem good, and I want to figure out what I should do before I install it. it is a daily driver (except winter), so not driving it in the rain isn't an option. any suggestions? i though of maybe some kind of tupperware type catch bin under the scoop with clear tubing running out the bottom to drain the water. but then kind of defeats the purpose of a hood w/ a scoop. any ideas/suggestions?
Its not going to hurt your motor to get it wet, just dont let it get in the intake.
My friend had that same hood on his 93... and it was fine through summer/fall/winter.. .rain/snow
