Default car rental in germany

lets say i was thinking about attending one of the open lapping days at the nurburgring...

where can i rent a half *** decent car (any suggestions as to car type?)

anyone have a good website or a local +49 number to call regarding getting a car?

I just want to uhm, drive it around on the streets.

seriously speaking, where can i go rent a nice car, not a supercar, or a expensive car, just a nice car like a itr/ctr/bmw/vw, etc?

lastly, do any of our german itr comrads want to hang out ? please PM me!

Learn the signs... thats the hardest part of the test...

Just remember when you see the speed limit with a cross through it.. there is no speed limit

The biggest difference is in the different street signs. Learn these and you shouldn't have a problem. Some important rules though:

1. No passing on the right.
2. At a stop sign, the car to your right always has the right of way.
3. Lights go Green->Yellow->Red --> Red->Yellow->Green. (The US goes Red->Green).
4. Don't speed as many speed zones are under camera surveillance. Be especially aware of this in town. There are cameras in some speed zones on the Autobahns (especially near a city) and many intersections in towns/cities have them.

Otherwise, have fun!

When I was in switzerland several years ago the airport car rental places had Aston Martins, BMWs, Porsches, and A couple Ferraris to rent. I would think they'd do the same in germany.
