clutch noise ?? plz help !! only when hott Maybe ?? act clutch jun flywheel ??
last week i was driving around dont even remember where but i was driving for a lil while 30 minutes maybe stop n go. When it came time to park in front of my house i pulled up then backed in . when i backed in it sounded really wierd ast i applied the clutch and i never fully engaged tit either i was just getting the car to start rolling back into my spot. since i heard the noice while backing up i then straightened out and pulled forward a bit and heard it again as i engaged the clutch into first it was the same noise.
After that i parked the car and until today have not heard the noise again. today i left work drove about 10 hwy miles and pulled ito a parking spot where i expierienced th same thing . when it came time to leave about 20 minutes later the noise was gone and i drove home anther 5 hwy miles and the noise was still gone.
I have a few questions. what does it sound like when the clutch is going? on my old civic it just slipped. however this does not slip or as far as i know clatter or chatter. the nouse is like jsut a rubbing or "contact " noise it cant be normal. pretty consistent as i let out the clutch but it stops if i put the pedal to the floor and starts if i let it out. if its in gear it is fine .
a liltle history i bought the car witha supposed act clutch and jun lightweight flywheel. i really dont question that it is infact installed. the previous owner bought the car with 47,000 miles i got it with78,000 two years ago right now there are 94,000 miles . would the clutch go that fast ??
i know it depends how you drive but after putting 121,000 miles on my civic clutch when compared to the new one i was installed during a engine swap it was liess than 1/8 differnce between the two.
anyone who uses a act clutch know if they dont last long or sound wirerd maybe when they are hot
any help or questions would be excellent thanks in advance
