Check engine light goes on for a few minutes then off? What now?
I had the check engine light go on my car twice today for no more than 5 mins or so when I was driving. When I drove home from work today there was no check engine light appearing. Do you think its something I should worry about or maybe its just a glitch in the system?
Usually emissions related.
Reset your ECU - disconnect negative battery cable for 15 minutes...
and if you have an aftermarket alarm with battery backup disconnect that as well.

wow that is the hard way to reset the ECM
Just open fuse box, pull the radio fuse 7.5amp, wait 5 min. , put back.
And to check the ECM stored codes you have to find the clip and have a wire you can connect the two with. Then look at the engine trouble codes.
Do that before you reset the ECM as once you do then you will lose all the codes. After you reset the ECM you need to let your car run for about 5 min so that it can reprogram its self for the best economy. So make sure that before you reset the ECM that your car is at op. temp. so that it wont miss read and set the fuel too high.
good luck
