Default Compression Test Results are in !!!

240-120-240-240, then added a bit of oil to #2 and the compression went up to 210, so it looks like #2 ain't cutting it . This is on a OBD1 JDM GSR.

I am gonna dyno it in a day or so to see what the #'s are after that it's coming back out to be rebuilt.

This car is not a daily driver so I am going to rebuild it to the spec's that I had in mind. The plan for this car is to run in H1 so.... I have some time to play with it and build it up.

As Predicted the numbers were very low.....156whp and 108tq. The graph looks really good very smooth, the torque is very flat also BUT the numbers are low.

The car doesn't run all that bad, but there is not much point in modding it in its current state, SO.

Out comes the motor and in goes the spare B20. Time for the block to be rebuilt.
Does anyone know of some good places to get block and crank work done. I have a machineist that I go to for most of my work but just wanted to get some more options and pricing, BAY AREA BTW.

Thanks, will keep you posted..........

Thanks, any one else get there work done in the bay area, doesn't have to be some huge named place. Like I said I get all my work done close by my work but havent had them do any crank work yet. just looking for some more options.

What have you guys paid for balanceing a crank and rods in the past just for a comparison. The guy I use hasn't given me any problems in the past.
