Question about using Hondata IM gasket on boost applications...
i was told that hondata's intake manifold gaskets are good for NA applications, but are worthless in forced inducted setups. just deciding whether or not to buy one for my turbo setup once i start putting everything together. can anyone vouch for this bit of information? i plan on using this with a skunk2 intake manifold on a B18C1.
why would it be worthless in a f.i. setup? it does the samething in that situation as an n.a. ( lowers itakemanifold temps). i have one and most the other f.i. guys i know do too, they work great (slightly lower temps, meby 20-50 degres).just get one, youll like it.
the person that told you that is.....worthless.
The Hondata Heatshield does exactly the same thing on a boosted application as it does on a non-boosted application.
I've been running the gasket for a couple of years now...no issues.

ok thanks for the re-assurance. the reason why i ask is because i thought maybe if the air was being forced inducted to the intake manifold that it would cause the honda IM gasket to heat up even more causing the IM to get heat soaked anyways. thanks for the replies, i'll probably end up buying one now for the skunk2 IM i plan on installing.
