how to get into 13s
i ran 14.5 - 14.6 on my ek sedan with b16a, its pretty stock, except for the b16b pistons and cams, toda cam gears, jdm type r headers with full exauhst 2.25", cold air intake, on advans ad07...
60ft = 2.3
et = 14.52
mph = 94.7
what other 'bolt-ons' can i get to lower my ETs? oversizing pistons is out of the question for me...vafc? bigger cams? type r intake manifold? budget is $1000 more or less...thanks

Get a set of drag radials or slicks.
Or buy a good header (AN-R or somthing not mass produced like DC or Greddy)
Intake Manifold (skunk2, Type R (similar to sk2)
Maybe a set of cams, but then you'd want to tune them

for everyone who is saying cams, you need to read the entire post thoroughly. B16B cams are Type R cams. There are actually some little tricks that you can do to your motor that are comletely stock and inexpensive, slicks are your best bet to lower your times.

garhard is right, b16b cams is TYPE R cams....yes i know its mild, but its good enough for me :D
im considering slicks...semi-slicks maybe, like formula-r or advan a032, but, wont it be a theat to my axles? ive heard that if the tires are too 'grippy' for the engine, i might break my axles...thanks. :D

Go with full slicks the wheelhop caused from semi-slicks will be alot worse on your axles than actual slicks.

I'll second that. I had the yokohama'a on my b16 hatch and it went 14.70's(wheelhoop like crazy). Then I got the BFG's and it went 14.40's (slight whelhop still). Then I got some 20x7x14 slicks and she went 13.90's. You can see the difference from tire to tire. Get slicks. D/R's are a waste (IMO of course)
