HELP! Flywheel bolts stripped!!
I recently bought a 5th gen prelude with 130k on the odometer. My friend had a H22a that was dropped into his accord but he recently decided to part out the Accord. I picked up his lightend flywheel, stage 2 clutch, and his head which is fully built. When we went to swap the heads, we decided to put the flywheel in to and then it snowalled into putting his whole H22a in my car. It only had 30k on it so I figured that It was a no brainer. Im now in the process of swapping engines. When I went to put on the 8 or 10 bolts that hold the flywheel to the crank, I found out that the holes were stripped on the inside or the JDM h22. I was going to swap cranks from the H22a4 in to the h22a but realized that the USDM crank wont fit the JDM Block. My only other choice is to re-tap and thread the holes on the JDM crank so the fltwheel can be bolted on. Is this a bad Idea? How do I go about doing this, What do I need to watch out for? What kind of bolts do I get now? Where do I get them from? Is this going to be reliable? ANY HELP IS GREAT!!!!
