IM A 87 CRX DRIVER. THE CAR IS STILL UNTOUCHED MEANING ITS TOTALLY STOCK. I JUST WANTED TO KNOW THE BEST WAY TO MAKE THIS CRX THE FASTEST LITTLE HUNK OF JUNK? A B20 V-TEC? A LS V-TEC? SHOULD I GO ***** OUT AND GO H22? OR SHOULD I STICK WITH MY PLAN OF AWD? GIMME YOUR THOUGHTS AS WELL AS ANY IDEAS. THANKS...

87-89 integra motor is the best motor for the 84-87 civic/crx IMO...

Too much work!!

The best compromise when it come to performance and ease of swap would be a B-series motor of one sort or another. They all drop right in with a Hasport kit. And you can make pretty good power with them.

easy high 12 second setup
h22 is hard enough to get into a 2nd gen...i dont know if it will physically fit in a 1st gen.

A light car like that, you dont need a ridiculous swap like an "h22"
You could go b series, but an integra D motor would also be a nice upgrade.

My girlfriend really loves stock CRXs and would NEVER refer to such a heavenly car as a "hunk of junk"...you shoul dbe stripped of al CRX ownership and raped by many man-loving mexican New Mexico inmates
