Default Crank Girdles........

Lookin for some feedback. Buildin my LS/VTec and researching the parts I want to go with.

I have narrowed it down to either a Endyn crank girdle or the Golden Eagle Girdle Kit.

Has anyone used either kits? Endyn's is supposed to be the stronest on the market, but the Golden Eagle is a very nice, and complete kit.

Anyone have any info?

I'm using my oem itr girdle I couldn't resist when my itr mains fit perfectly onto my ls block and crank I got extremely lucky though, usually the machine shop will have to do some work to get it to fit. Anyway, any of them should work fine. I looked at the Z-10 piece before trying my itr. It looked pretty nice

is there even a difference between the GE, Endyn, z10, etc?

are the differences worth it, over the stock ITR, etc?

factory GS-R and ITR girdles aren't made to protect past 8500 rpms, but the aftermarket girdles are sufficient higher than 9500. -Jason

If you have an itr or gsr girdle laying around, then I'd take it to a machine shop and get it machined to fit. I mentioned mine went right on, but if not it would only have been about 40-50 bucks for the machine work. Otherwise, any of the GE, Endyn, Z10, ect. girdles should work fine. Just research each and see if any of them offer any thing the others don't or decide which one is priced the best for your budget. They should come as a complete kit and be bolt on ready. Good luck.

Everything at the machine shop. I should be able to pick the motor up tomorrow afternoon. I may get them to put the whole thing together, in which case I'll just pick it up on thurs/friday. Hopefully I'll be rollin to the dyno on saturday ( drive it through the night..lol ) If not I'll have some dyno numbers monday. Overall, everything going smoothly

now that is funny, seeing that the itr rev limiter is set at 8600rpm. which webpage did you read that on?

I would ingnore that advice if I were you. Unless your revving to 10k all day i don't see an itr girdle not being sufficent.
