its the upshift light., it tells you when to shift at the best rpm to save gas.

Is that only on the HF model cause I haven't seen them on any other model of crx before. Interesting though. Any pics u could provide?

The crx hf can get up to 55 mpg of gas, thats what the green light is for, it will tell you to shift to maximize fuel efficiency, as someone mentioned it was only avalible on the hf model. When i had it in my car it would tell me to shift, and eventually i learned to ignore the stupid thing.

Yes it's pretty cool having your car talk to you like that. But after a while you don't want to shift at 2300rpm anymore YOu gotta blow that D series right outta your chasis. j/k....i loved that little engine

you could be really RICEY and try and turn the cool shift light into a vtec light....
IMO you don't need a light to tell you your motor is going really fast....mmmmmm Vtec

Yeah the CX has it. I just bought my 92 CX today and test drove it yesterday. I didn't know what the light was, but had a pretty good idea. If anyone wants a pic, I can take one, but I don't know how to post pics so I could email someone to post the pic for me... if you all want to see it. It's just a green arrow that points up, the box it's in is outlines with white.

If your HF came from cali it didn't come with an upshift light.
Mine doesn't have one cause it came from cali originally. The owners manaul said that too.

My cx has the upshift light also but doesn't work anymore cause i'm not using the cx ecu anymore.
