ok i bought a 97 ex in 2000 i have been tryin to figure out if it is a canadian or us model. us = abs standard canada = daytime running lights standard my car neither of them and the spare tire is from the canadian model. any thoughts??

look at the tag on the radiator support
it will say honda of america (i think) or honda of canada

The US EX is the called the SI in Canada.

If it has ABS it will also have A/C and be called a SI-G

 

u mean if the car was sold in canada

 

ok it says american honda motor co. could it have been special ordered without abs??

 

Is this a 4 Door Model?

EX was the top end 4 door in Canada

It came standard with A/C but ABS was optional

 

abs wasnt standard. It was an option. I have a 99 ex with no abs

no its a 2 door and the manual i got with the car says "all us ex models have abs as standard equipment."

 

Well there is no EX 2 Dr Canadian Model

Even American SI's didn't come standard with ABS only the CDN SiR did

So It must be a US EX if it is a 2DR which the same as a CDN SI and neither I belive came standard with ABS only as a option

 

well than we both got 2 door ex's with no abs. Does it have 4 wheel discs or rear drums? I think all the 4 wheel disc setups have abs

Far as I know and my fellow american SI owners can correct me if i'm wrong but the US SI which came standard with 4 Wheel Discs did not come standard with ABS

On the other hand our Canadian SiR Did.
