'95 Civic EX, Do I have ABS???
I just purchased a '95 Civic EX. How do I tell if this model has ABS or not? I need to replace an axel and need to know which part to buy...
Thanks,
K

The 2 easiest ways are:
A: When you turn the key to the on position is there an ABS light on? If there is then you have ABS.
B: Look and see if you have rear disc brakes, if you do and the car is STOCK then you have ABS.

The easiest way to tell if you have ABS is to attempt to lock up the wheels and see if it kicks in or not.
Barring that you can always look in the rear as mentioned before and check for disks. All EX sedans of that year should have disks/ABS standard, if you happen to have a four-door.

Yeah, when you turn the ignition on there should be an ABS light that turns on. If I am not mistaken, EX's do not have ABS... I could be wrong though.

Not true, some 5th Gen EX model Civics came without ABS but with rear discs...like mine.

Some EX models did have ABS.
An easy way to check is to open your trunk. On the passenger side, under the carpet you will find the ABS module if you have ABS.
Another easy way is to open your hood and look for the ABS fuse box.

look under the hood for the abs fuses or for rear disc brakes, or if you have the computer in the trunk on the left hand side.
