both are good motors.

1.6 185
1.8 200

same motor, different crank, rods, pistons, header.

you won't be dissapointed with either. b16b with ctr pistons, gsr/itr crank, gsr/itr rods = badass setup.

Both good motors, but nothing compares to the C5

Go with the C5, more torque more power.
I believe the C5 is a better motor all around. The b16b compared to your H22 .. you will be wondering where your torques at.

not a direct drop in there are 2 mounts that u will need to change out the first is the j mount that connects to the rear of the tranny and motor and the second is the mount bracket that comes off of the block below the head on the drivers side. both these mounts will be from a 99-00 si or dc2 integra.. if im wrong someone correct me its been a while since i did my swap lol

now that question is gonna open up a can of worms. i like the c5 better. and yes i have had both. parts are easier to come buy, and I like the feel better. don't let people tell you there is a huge wieght difference cuz they're full of ****. h22 is not that much heavier. i just like the c5's feel, pull, everything. i ran an h22 and we ran very close. h22 if ur gonna go turbo. c5 all motor

The C5 in a light weight chassis, such as a eg hatch or ej hatch will run head and head with a h22 hatch, usually.
I know you are trying to decide between the b16b and the b18c5 but if it was me id go with a b18c or c1.
Significantly less money and you could build it with the extra money. Drop a b16 or ITR tranny on it and your set.

yeah i know, but the c5 is just more rare. plus this car will be a daily driver, so i dont want to mess with internals or anything. i want my hatch to be as fast if not faster than my old h22eg. i dont think the b18c will give me that satisfaction. i just want my car to be at least a low 13sec car.

if you find a b16b for cheap buy that enjoy it then rebuild it with 1.8 crank rods etc. Cheap = Under 3000

C5 no doubt.
Bigger motor=more potential.
PLus you dont have to experiment with it... just drop it and have fun.
