Cant get a answer in a thead so here goes.
Nobody in the "Parking/Bumper Lights Like or Dislike???" post will answer my question...
On a dual filament socket, there is 3 wires off of it, one ground and 2 others
one is for the dim light and one is for the brighter one.
Can anyone tell me which is wich?
thank you!

if you are cutting the wires to wire in a new plug anyway, just use a test light, turn on the parking lights and one of the wires will be hot and the other not - that will be the dimmer of the two lights. if you turn on the directional or brake, depending on which one you are testing, the other wire will become hot as long as the brake pedal is being pressed or the turn signal is on.

Mine stay on with my parking lights, So I don't think you have to worry about it melting the lens. I added 2 yellow leds for blinkers. It's enough to pass inspection.
