Message: thank you.
------------------------------------------------------------

I got it monday, I spent $300 bucks for a shop to install it today, only to find out, that, not only I can't even adjust the height to Type R stock, but the highest I can go is about 2 inches dropped... This is totally unacceptable....(only the rear)

Then I went back to the box, on the small label there, it says Models: 92-95 EG/DC

The front is fine.. but the back fender is scratch the tires right now........

What the F@#K... I am really pissed off now....

What should I do in this situation..... I need help........

Thanks guys.

If you have a type R, you can't use 92-95 rear struts since they mount differently. So either they didn't install them, you don't have an ITR, or you have the right ones and they don't know what they are doing.

My car is able to be dropped 3" inches easy if I wanted them too, but its suggested that the Omnipowers only go about 2" for better ride quality.

Are you sure? cause they did fit prefectly..... What am I missing here...

All I really want is to get the type R to go to stock for now.....the thread is about half an inch in the hole, and they cannot raise it up anymore or else it will bent.

The rear suspension of the ITR is slightly different from the EG/DC rear suspension.

It's probably a simple mistake with picking the parts to ship, since quite a few DC2 ITR owners are using the Omnipower suspensions.

I sent an email to both MKTeller and Omniman w/this link. I'm sure one of them will pop in when they see it.

Does that mean you've learned not to over-do the preload?

yeah thats what my h&r coilover box says, and it is correct if you have a non type r. however for a type r that is not going to work.

That looks like the stock height to me....why did you even buy coilovers?? btw, did you not look at the box before you opened them? If those really are for Civics, Kteller isn't going to return them now that you've installed them.

Just happened that the label was always on the other side when I handle the box. (and there is no paper work inside the box) also these guys are suppose to be professionals, so i have no reason to doubt.

I want the coilover kit because i can dropped them next spring.. stock height for now, since winter is coming.

Well, that is an expensive mistake they made... even they are willing to take them back... installation alone will cost me over $600. . SO I am SCREWEDDD..........sigh....

If you're having to pay for installation it might be easier to just get an inch or two longer springs for the rear. That way you won't have to remove the fronts or deal with sending them back.

*Maybe* they would be willing to send you this longer spring (in return for yours back)? Just a thought.

dude..i think install is very simple..cause omni coilovers are not like spring and shocks. u just need to remove stock one and omni will fit right in..u dont need to take off anything from stock ones. and there is installation paper in kteller website

The shock is at its longest possible... springs won't help..

Ok, I was thinking maybe you still had some shaft play. I agree then, you have a problem.

can you take a pic of were it bolts into the control arm? if yiu have a set for civics, then maybe the installer rigged something up so it would fit. and that could be causing the bad ride height.

sample pic you need to take and post if you don't mind

have you even called kteller/omniman yet?

this thread should be locked otherwise in my opinion.

its either your mistake for not specifying the right part, or they shipped the wrong one to you.

i dont see why you would buy coilovers and install them now.. when you still want to retain a stock ride height. if your so worried about lowering you car during winter (i dont understand that..) then why not leave your stock itr suspension.

My opinion.. stop crying, lower your car to the ride height you want and drive the car! winter, summer, spring.. lowered or not.. its all the same

it seems as if you put almost zero thought prior to buying the car, the suspension, or given any thought to $300 as being rape for installing a suspension w/o any weight balancing, etc.

but, its your money. if you bought it from kteller and specifically asked for a type r application, then ask them to send you two rear replacements.

simple.
