is the d16 oil pump bigger then the d15 oil pump? and how hard is it to change the oil pump?

 

why are u going to be boosting? if not it's kinda pointless?????

I'm pretty sure d15 pumps will bolt up the same as d16 but keep in mind each pump from engine to engine will have different psi ratings. I know the d16z6 pump puts out more than d16y8 and d16a6...correct me if i'm wrong people.

It's a time consuming job but this is what it involves...

Drain oil
Remove crank pulley/timing belt cover
Remove timing belt
Remove oil pan
Remove oil pickup tube
Remove oil pump

Reinstall everything.

I could have missed something i removed/replaced pump with block out of car so correct me someone if i missed something.

thanks, well i have a d15b that i put a y8 head on, and i'm tryin to get together a turbo kit so i thought i might put a d16 pump in it if its any bigger..? would it be worth it?
