Oil Pump Change
Hey guys...
I'm pretty certain that I have a failing oil pump.
Any ideas if this is something easily done, or does the engine have to
come out?
It could also be bad pulley bearings.. In this case, hard change out?
Costs?
Thanks in advance!

It can be done with the motor in the car....you will have to remove the oil pan, oil pick up, *possibly the uper drivers side mount, timming belt cover, timming belt, main pully, then all the bolts holding the pump in, then the pump will come right off. Not somthing I like to do while the motor is in the car, but it CAN be done.
how 's your oil pressure ?
check your oil pressure at idle...oil pump hardly fails under stock style driven car, unless you're revving to 10K, it may be another issues...
