Default Supercharger or turbo?

I have a 2004 Civic Si and I was wondering about my performance. Would I get more power from the Jackson Racing supercharger kit they make for my car or should I get the GReddy turbo kit? I know they both work differently, but I was wondering which one would be better.

Well this question has been asked about a million times and has been hashed and rehashed (do a search to see what I mean).

Basically this is what people will tell you: If you are planning on using it as a daily driver a supercharger is a better choice, but will be less potent than a turbo. If you are gonna track it, turbo would be better (except for the torque, of course). Whereas the SC will need to be upped to levels that it most likely isn't comfortable with.

Basically it comes down to you, you be can't asking people on the 'net what YOU should be getting. A better question would be opinions on Turbo vs. SC. Just my opinion.

real question is, do you want to put down ~290whp and be happy with it. or do you want to keep going. jrsc's are realistically limited by how small the pulley can be to turn the turbine. i read jrsc pushing ~12 psi is about the limit. turbo's (although not the greddy kit) are capable of much more.

do you like waiting for your power? or having it all the time? do you want to cut up your bumper? do you need the BOV sound? or would you rather have a SC whine?

it also comes down to how much cash you have and how much you are willing to waste on either of those two. turbo is going to obviously be the more expensive route, but like what the others said turbo will give you more hp then a sc. but the sc is good for stop and go driving.

why dont you go n/a, get a k20a and i am sure you will be just as satisified hehe
