This morning I was unable to shift out of Park after starting the engine in my 91 DX. I was able to start car in N and shift into gears. Part of the problem started the night before- I noticed that the brake & door warning lights as well as the beeping sound, all activate each time I apply and hold the brake pedal down. So today, after starting the car, the brake is depressed prior to changing gears- lights and beeeping sound= Park is locked. Any ideas??

 

sounds crazy, but check your grounds.

u got shift lock on the auto tranny try like that buts its probably electrical i had same problem when i had electrical woes and blown fuses in my 99 teg

 

yea its electrical.. check your fuses.. either that you got a short going...
