Default Rain concerned

If some rain drops gets to your engine, would any part be really f*ked up from the water. I plan to get my cf hood tomorrow so i would have to take off the hood and switch, thus exposing the engine. That is if the sellers garage is not available so we would have to resort doing it outside in the open. I tried to use search but the search is not working so any help would be appreciated thanks.

It doesnt seem right to me to expose an engine to rain, because of the fact that it becomes like hell in the bay and the last thing you'd want is cold water on those hot-*** parts.

It shouldn't cause any problems except maybe with the HT cables and distributor... I've power washed my complete engine before and didn't have any problems. Unless you get stuck in a monsoon, I would take a tarp just in case.
