how do you like your ep3's? are they funner to drive or easier to work on then regular civics/integr
im shopping for a new car and i was slightly considering a ep3,
to the people who have owned a eg/ek/dc/ whatever before how much harder is it to work on the new cars?
would it be easy to drop a itr or type s tranny into a ep3?
is the suspension easy to swap out? how about motor swaps

I don't own a ek dc or eg but I've worked on all of them and I own a DC5. It's not easier or harder, just different.

swapping a k20 or k20a2 into ep3? from what i've searched, yes, it is a direct bolt on.. but you have to do a little work on the shifter
swapping an itr or type-s tranny into ep3? yes, it can be done. there's a How-to write up in k-series.com (but i dont know if it's still there)
upgrading suspension? for me, it's pretty easy. i have the progress coilovers but i used some stock parts like the mounts. i took off the stock suspension and slap the coilovers on. note that the stock rear sway bar is soo thin so you might want to upgrade that with a 22mm or bigger for better handling.
is it fun to drive? i havent driven an ek or dc but my ep is like a roller coaster in the turns after i did some suspension work.
how about the bolt-ons upgrade? the ep responds really well with the bolt-ons. throw an intake/exhaust/headers and upgrade your ecu with the hondata reflash will let you hit to about 175whp. if you want more power, get a race header mated with a ctr spec exhaust. but note that the race header is not street legal.
if you want to know more about the ep, check out ephatch.com. good luck to whichever you decide to get. peace.

i bet the ride is pretty nice too though, the interior looks comfortable?
how thick is the ctr sway bar? i saw one on ebay earlier today it was starting at like 80 plus 40 shipping
i want to venture into the ep world and maybe i will if i cant get the ek out of my freind, his hatchback will be a good investment since it will hold its value but if i buy a ep3 only new and more parts can become availible
and im guessing theft isnt to high or theft attempts anyways

theft is more difficult in these cars because of the keys and computers, not impossible, just less probable.
i had an ek before my ep, i loved it. had to trade it in for the ep for a few reasons, but i love my ep. the chassis is so much more rigid straight out of the box. the ctr sway bar i believe is 22mm in the rear, i have the cusco 25mm on my car though, along with a few other suspension mods.
but i love my car, and i do all my own work on my cars. it's not harder to work on, just different. actually, i would say the suspension is easier to work on, that may just be me though.
good luck with whatever you get, but you wont regret either. all honda's kick ***.
