Anyone using the Bilstein Type R specific shocks?
If you have them, how do you like them? I'm thinking of pairing them up with a set of Eibach Pro Kit springs. Or is there a better spring choice out there for these dampers? Guy that owned the car before me totally fukked up the suspension, Neuspeed Race with stock shocks. Bouncin' all over the place.
Thanks for any info.

now would they REALLY be TYPE-R SPECIFIC if they werent paired with
STOCK ITR springs?
Get shocks THAT FIT, and make sure they are properly vavled for the
springs you intend to use.

I have them and love 'em! Got 'em paired up with the H&R Sports and so far I'm pretty happy with the set-up. Everyone who has driven my car has been overly impressed, considering the whole set-up cost me $600.
I highly recommend them for a daily driver, occasional track car.

As far as shocks "THAT FIT," I believe that these will be perfect for street use (car is not track driven). As far as valving goes, I was told that these shocks are self adjusting (maybe shocks that autoadjust the valving may not be the ideal choice, but once again, this car is not taken to the track). I don't expect you to be familiar with my current situation, but I don't have the stock springs and my stock shocks are slowly dying with the current configuration. So I was looking for a spring that would hopefully have the closest characteristic to the stock spring. I selected the Eibach Pro Kit based on the fact that Eibach designs their Pro Kit springs to work well ("well" being a relative term) with the stock dampers on most of the applications (so therefore, I thought this was a logical decision). Currently, I'm looking to get out of the suspension my car sits on. I can tell that the suspension is not properly damped, and that just isn't safe. I don't have the money to go with a full coilover system, so I thought this would be a good alternative while I saved up. Who knows, if the suspension works out well, I may just keep it.
Plus, do you honestly believe that the suspension pieces I've selected are going to be so improperly matched that I'm going to destroy the ride quality even worse than now? But what do I know? I'm guess I'm just a
like you said. Sure...

Thanks for the reply. Everyone I've ever spoken to that had Bilsteins said that they were a good quality damper. It's good to hear from a fellow R owner though!

sgt: he meant ITR specific because they fit ITR LCA's and not other g3 LCAs.
Bilsteins are very good shocks, do a search, they have been discussed many times before.
