Is it true that a k20a with all the sensors and emissions controls hooked up, will be carb legal and pass smog in CA.?

Default i like it

Very nice car. if i had the money, thats almost what mine would be like. Do you have any times for it yet?
How much potential does it have now?
I got beat by a v6 camaro and im goin to japan so this swap is ideal, sort of.

I cant say how much I paid for the swap since the guys at Intec hooked me up with the install. But give them a call and they can give you a good deal on the swap. Intec Racing 253-872-0872. Your 16's will not fit 17" or bigger is required with the right offset

If they plug the emissions tool into the obd2 service connector and your car doesnt throw any check engine codes then the car will pass. If they use a sniffer in the exhaust it should pass if you have a cat. If you dont have a cat. there is ways to pass emissions, by adding something to your fuel. but i'm not gonna say on this thread, its a lil secret i'm gonna keep to myself

When i worked at toyota, a co-worker of mine had a k20a swap in his ep3. I didnt expect much of it until he gave me a quick ride in his car. We cruised at about 25-30mph on a side road. He asked me, "are you ready?" Before I could even answer, he mashed on the gas and in a blink of an eye, the revs shot all the way up to 8k effortlessly. I was pinned to the seat and I held on for dear life. This was a big difference compared to my f22 prelude
