Default Oil pressure issues.... (tried searching helped a little)

My friend has a h22 turbo and was at the dyno yesterday.... found out his vtec wasn't working they checked the oil pressure and it was 30 psi @ 3k rpm (50 psi is normal at 3k) and when revved it would drop to 15 psi around 6k rpm.. any ideas on why it would drop at the higher rpms? I know if the oil pick up is clogged or blocked it would cause a drop in oil pressure, and so would worn bearings but does anyone know why it would be drop at high rpm???

help please!

my car does the same thing.. I doubt it's the engine it self.. I 've rebuilt the motor thinking this would help but, didn't..

I think his problem may be the oil pump because i just remembered when he took the car out of storage earlier this year he had problems getting oil to the turbo because something was messed up with the pump and wasnt getting pressure and he never replaced the pump
