Gas Mileage for an H22? Anyone?
What do you Hybrid Accord owners get in terms of mileage on your H22's, i'm trying to justify the swap, i.e. use reasonably about the same amount of gas, and get a reasonable amount of power?
How many miles/km's to the tank?
How many miles/km's to the tank?
its hard to stay in the lower rpm's
But i've seen 301miles off a full tank during the break in period. 93 octane.
Used to get ~240 when the car was automatic F22 powered w/ 89 octane gas.

Are you justifying the swap partially on gas mileage? This is a joke right? Why don't you sell your accord and buy a brand new gas-electricity hybrid car, it will give you better gas mileage.
Since you're asking. I get 400+ miles with my 6th gen H22 accord. [16 gallons]

Yeah. Go buy a prius.
My H22 runs about 24mpg. I don't drive hard everyday.

all i was asking was how much you mileage you get, geez don't have to get all angry..... i was just trying to factor how much more i would be spending if i had got the swap, i.e gas for the year etc.. all i was looking for was that..
And i get 340 Miles / 550 Km's Per Tank on my stock engine for those of you who are confused.

Just trying to think econmically, no wrong in that. And buying a hybrid-electric is not economical, seeing as you gotta spend more to buy it than you would filling up a normal car, just looking for some info, i don't need useless info like that!

91 F22A4 with little to no mods on the engine YET
with a fill up of 11.5 gal I get 340 miles (mixed town and freeway)
Breaks down to about 29.6MPG
Will have to recheck again after timing, balance shaft belt and pully bearings. And I drive mix also. Sometimes really jumpy from start others like your every day blah driver. Figured if I lay off the peddle then I could maybe get around 32MPG or better. And that is with things as STOCK even the air filter.
Going to switch all the fluids to AmsOil here soon. And looking into smaller injectors that will do the job and not kill the ECM. As the Stock ones are the same needed for the V6's. The 4's don't need that much pushed out the tail pipe.

Just finished a VTEC for a friend last week, and I contacted them for an est. on the change.
They are getting a change more then they thought.
Went from about 24MPG with town driving to 28MPG
Freeway was about the same 26MPG but now is the biggest change now getting 35.7MPG freeway.
Time to hit the books and find some more I can do for them. I know this motor can do better then that.

I never meant that you should go and buy an electric-gas hybrid, but I was implying that it makes as much sense in doing that as swapping the H22 based on gas mileage. You sounds like a kid who is trying to convince mommy and daddy that it's economical to swap the F23 engine with the H22. You probably used the same argument, when your parents asked you why you replaced the intake box and header with a CAI and a DC header.
"So that you could increase gas mileage"...Pathetic.
If you want to save money buy a bus pass, or car pool.

firstly i live on my own, and secondly theres nothing wrong thinking economically, i wasn't basing a swap on purely gas mileage, i just wanted to figure out how much more i would be spending on gas, i.e. to see if i could afford it all....sheesh!
First of all, living by yourself has nothing to do with the fact that you sound like a child. Second of all, there is nothing wrong to think economically...what makes you think I said otherwise? Thirdly, if you can afford a "Chameleon Green Custom Metallic Paint" job...huh huh...you can afford to pay for the gas. Especially since your next Future Upgrade is a "Combat Body Kit." Remember, the consumption of gas is dependent on acceleration, deceleration, rpm and speed, so you can get fewer miles per gallon in a similar engine if you drive aggressively. Just because you have a H22, it doesn't mean that you will pay more on gas.
Hi
I know this question is kindna off topic but I need some answer. I recenly went hybird with H22A4. I notice that exhaust noise is very loud. Is that normal.
I had a turbo kit on my f22 engine every thing was very quiet and I like old exhaust sound. It was kindna deep roar, not loud.
I do not like to get any attention..
Now. It's real loud and give me a headache.
Does this happened to you ,guys?
