They said they use a stock tranny compared to the others using a 20grand or so clutchless tranny.

They also said they use quakers mtf.......and that has expanded the life...but that's all for advertisement and helping your sponsers out.

of course your gonna say their product help u do this and that.

no no no ... go back and reread guy.... "ATF"

OCT 2004 Issue

qoute:"Most notably, Quaker State's Special Import ATF transmission fluid has increased the lifespan of the team's Pro FWD stock Honda transmission by more than 50 percent."

This cannont be a mistake. If so Modified Mag. editors has got to go back to ESL.

Actually Modified Mag didnt write that press release.

I proof readed it and edited it prior to its release on behalf of JBR...

I don't recall if it stated ATF or MTF... I'm not at my main computer to read what the original release was.

I'm pretty sure the basis of the release was to discuss the usage of Quaker State's oils that have helped reinforce an otherwise stock transmission in a PRO class.

Honda had us putting ATF in some manual gearboxes a few years back. It was a fix for a fluid related noise from the differential on sharp turns at low speed. I believe some GM manual gearboxes for the F-body vehicles used ATF as well.
