Bracket that holds the swaybar broke. I have a track event this weekend!!!
Hey all,
While I was doing my H22 swap, I broke the bracket that hold the end of the sway bar secure on the passenger side of the car. i am referring to the bracket that is at the very end of the swaybar. Is this bracket called the endlink??
With a little creativity, I rigged it to work. For those who are familiar with the bracket that I am referring to, I put the mushroom bushing in upside down so that it does not fall out. However, the bolt that holds it securely into place could not be put on (This is the part that I broke).
Basically, my issue is that the bolt that holds the bracket secure broke off. It broke the treads off of the treaded part of the bracket. My question is, do you think it will still come out without the bolt on the track??
Right now, the bracket fits securely. The only way I could pop it out was to put a jack on the swaybar as if I were jacking up the car. Will the sharp high speed turns cause it to come out??
Man, my car is NEVER ready for a driving event. I ALWAYS have SOME issue.

So you mean that the sway bar came off the bracket, or the bracket came off the car? I say either way, try taking a few hard turns in an empty lot this evening (like banks after they close fridays) and check it out.
