hey guys my friend just called me and said his car won't start. he "played" the sound for me over the phone and when he goes to turn the car over it's like a whirring/whizzing/pulsing/cricket sound

hmm now that i think about it, is this the sound a fried dizzy would make?

i told him to check his fuel pump fuse because he didn't hear the humming sound from the fuel pump and it was okay. all his lights work and he tried to reset the ECU by removing the battery terminal and nothing. im gonna go pick him up from work and take a closer look at the car tomorrow with another friend.

are there any tests or things we can watch out for? if anyones had a similar problem i would greatly apreciate it. thanks.
