Is a 91 Si 3door wired for rear speakers?
I cant find the wires or any info on whether or not theyre there.
any help apreciated.

 

Mine has rear speakers... look in the shock tower panels... that's about where mine come from... small black plastic tubing coated wire harnesses.

 

I took the covers off that cover up the top of the shocks and looked and felt around in there but couldnt find ****.
do i need to take the whole ******* interior panels out??

try taking off the cover panels to the taillights

thats where mine were, taped to the tailight harness

Didn't know you could get Civic Hatches with speakers, where did Honda put them?

 

I have wiring for the rear speakers in my hatch, i just cant ****** figure out where the speakers are supposed to go, any help would be much appreciated.

 

I think the panel that your cargo cover rests on will need to be replaced with one that holds speakers. When I had my DX, those pieces looked different than my Si does. The DX had speakers there. I could be wrong though.

 

the little trays on either side of the cargo cover is where the go.
i think you can just cut them out and fit speakers in them.

 

Next to the rear windows where the small pockets are on the shelf, that's where the speaker pods would go. It was a dealer accessory, came with wire extensions, and holds 6.5". I just found some at the junk yard for $5 and had to strip all the red paint off them. Got mine mounted in now with some midrange for rear fill. There was one on ebay recently and sold for $51(ripoff). I don't think the early std model had rear shelves tho.

if its a real 91 si. it has the speakers. i have a 91 si. stock interior. f & r speakers. hard to miss.
u got drum or disc brakes in the back?

 

My STD doesn't even have a cargo cover ..... anyone got one cheap??

 

my friend had an 88 std and it didnt have the rear shelf.
but the car got tboned about 3weeks ago and its totaled.
hes got a fractured skull and a shattered pelvis[OUCH].
hes also got some internal bleeding and some other stuff going on.
i sure hope my car can hold up better than that car did in a wreck.
he was making a left turn and got hit on the driverside door.
he was a young inexperienced driver in a slow car..he said he thought he had enough time and the bitch that hit him[who i went to school with] was talking on the cell phone.
its too ******* bad about that car cuz it only had 45K original miles and no rust!
some old lady owned it and drove it to church and the grocery and it set in the garage all the time besides that.

 

mine has drums on the back, but i think im pretty sure its an si. It has painted mirrors, sunroof, rear window wipers and all.

 

91 crx-si. has 4 discs. guessin only year. from what i hear.

 

Only EF's with rear disks were 90-91 CRX's. No USDM 4th gen hatch ever had rear disks...

But mine does
