Default P1456 Code CEL 99 Accord LX

I have a 99 Accord LX, and the CEL turned on. I went to autozone to use the diagnostics and it pulled up a code of P1456 Auxillary Emmissions Control. The guy at Autozone checked out what that code is about and its a faulty Fuel Tank Temperature Sensor. Does anyone know where this is located? Does anyone know if this is a easy fix or should I just get it done. Any help appreciated.

There is no such animal. Make sure your gas cap is tight.

that is what I was expecting the problem should be so I changed the Gas Cap but still is showing up. The computer pulled up the part. Are you saying there is no such sensor?

AutoZone doesn't have a real good list of what those codes actually mean. P1456 means your fuel tank or part of the EVAP system isn't airtight like is should be.

There's a fuel tank PRESSURE sensor. I think that's one of the possible causes for that code. But there's a handful of hoses & valves that can cause it, too. As well as a leak in the tank itself...

Those CEL trouble codes are good to narrow down the problem to a handful of things. But almost always, that won't narrow it down to a single PART.

99% of the time that code is for a loose gas cap. You said that you replaced the cap. If you put one on from auto zone it won't seal right. You MUST us a factory gas cap for the seal to be correct and the light to go off, other wise it will never go out. Why do you think the factory gas cap is like $25 and the one you got at auto zone was like $5. There is a difference.
