HYDRAULIC CLUTCH LINES
SO RECENTLY THE CLUTCH PEDAL ON MY 93 ACCORD EX, FELL TO THE FLOOR.... FELT LIKE A HYDRAULIC PROBLEM, SO I CHECKED AND REPLACED BOTH THE MASTER AND SLAVE CYLINDERS ON THE HYDRAULIC LINE...... AFTER BOTH NEW PARTS WERE IN I BLED THE WHOLE SYSTEM, CLUTCH PEDAL STILL STICKS, N FEELS KINDA CRAPPY.... THERE IS NOT LEAK, B/C THE RESERVOIR IS ALWAYS FULL.... WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE?!
ok what u need to do is ask a friend for a half hour of his time.. now either you or him sit in the car and pump the clutch.. if its stuck just pull it up and push it down and just keep doing that.. now the other guy needs to go under the hood and find the transmission.. while you are pumping tell the dude to just move the CLUTCH FORK left and right.. you will see a rubber gourmet around it.. just move that back and forth and pump the clutch and you will have pressure! thats what happend to my rig..
One important quetion I have is did you bench bleed the master cyl.? If not then your going to have fun trying to get all the air out of the system. Chances are that there is still a small air pocket in the master cyl. that needs to come out. Just keep pumping the pedal with a friend and keep going. It will take you a while but you'll get there.
How do u bench bleed? do you only bench bleed the master cylinder? I had thought i got all the air out there was a smooth flow of fluid, the pedal felt great, better than it ever had, but the more i drive it, the more it sucks. I heard something about putting a hose on the bleeder valve, and running it down to a container 1/2 filled with fluid, then continuing with the bleed as normal... Should that be done?? Thanks!!!!!
