ps pump/rack

How do I check/know if these items are in need of replacement? My ITR has been making squeeking noises when I turn the steering wheel for over 15k miles. They will periodically come and go. I would like to remedy this problem once and for all.

if you are making noises, you will need to replace either the pump itself or the belt.

i had this problem right after i got my car back from the shop.
