Well, this probably is a stupid poll, but I was curious of what the majority of the integra community thought about these s2k antenna conversions...

looks good after opening the door....and all the smoke clears out over the antenna!

 

I got one and it looks a lot more sleek and more from 21st century than the stock antenna.

I have the s2k antenna, and I did it because the stock was annoying me. Even if I turn it on to listen to a CD, the antenna goes up.

Not much difference in reception either...
then again, I don't listen to radio that much.

 

How do you figure that the functionality is missing??

Well, if you do a search on the s2k antenna I'm sure something will come up, but since I'm a nice guy I'll tell you.

You're better off buying an install kit from someone for about 11~15 bucks, and the s2k antenna from a honda dealership for about 20~24 bucks. Total comes out to about 35 or so. These kits come with very detailed instructions.

You'll have to search the site to find out who to order these kits from.

The install is easy, but takes a little time. You have to remove the rear left panel in order to access the antenna. But all you really need is just a philips screw driver a uhmm..the 6 side thing..I think they call it lugnut ....size is 11/32 I think.

u should've just disconnected the power wire to the antenna if you dont listen to the radio. i usually just listen to cd's so its all good, and now my antenna is always down.

I like it a hell of a lot better than that gay power antenna i have that risks getting bent. Also it comes on while listening to CD's which is pointless.

My antenna for my 01 GSR doens't come out when I listen to CD's, goes back down if I switch from radio to cd. Maybe it's because I have an aftermarket cd player?

It looks like a black ***** on the back of an integra!!!!!

That s2000 antenna looks out of place to me on integra's, I don't think it goes with the body style, and besides that, your radio reception get's worse! I think I could find something better to spend my money on, but to each his own, and do whatever you guys think looks good on your car!

I do listen to radio occasionally, and reception is not any different from before.

Personally if I had the money, I would have shaved it. But then I'd have trouble finding a place to hide the antenna so..

 

The S2k antenna has noticeably badder reception than stock, but it's not terrible. I can still get okay reception and I live in the boonies. Living in a more urban area, you should hear no difference.

As for aesthetics, how can anybody say that the stock antenna *while on* looks better?

 

i dunno, couple lbs....i dont listen to the radio anyways, and i think it looks 100 times better than the stock chrome deal looking thing, i despise any and all chrome and that little nub annoyed me everytime i looked at my black car, the S2000 antenna to replace was a great solution to me, especially at $30....
