allmotor help what cams for sleeved 85mm block
i am building a new setup gsr head port polished gsr block sleeved ls crank wiseco pistons eagle rods etc shooting for 220whp what compression should i run i am available to 94 octane at all times and what cams was lookin at bc4s and sk2stg2 but then considered a more all out drag cam this is not my daily driver but would like to take it out to street races thanks for any info and help
I would do like 12:1 or 12:5:1. You could use the BC4s or Skunk2 stg 3s or Toda Cs. What ever you perfer, after seeing the dyno on the BC4s, I would go that route.
with compression ratio @ 12.5.1 ive had a good experience with rs machine vtec cams,or skun-2 stage 2's,or for $400 get the blox stage2's
allmotor b20b what u got done to ur b20vtec
what are blox cams where u get them at and what results

I blew my lasy B20vtec. So Im doing a 84.5mm LSvtec 12:5:1 withe Jun3s and a fabed header from Import Power House. Pretty simple.
If this is not your daily driver I would go with like 12.5-13.0:1 compression with some awesome tuning, especially since you can get 94 octane. I would also go with some Rocket Motorsports M24's, these cams where dyno tested against jun3's and made more power from 4k up! These cams are sick. Good luck
Will you guys update your damn avatars? you look like n00bs to the max.
I myself am trying to get a hold of the wicked stg. 2's, but they're like dead or something, BC4's are looking real good too, but they're a tad extreme, massive duration.
That one avatar up there is phuckin HOT

11.7:1 and type r cams or spec A's. the combo works.
if you go over 12.0 or 12.5:1 compression, it's not gonna make THAT much more power. i think 11.7:1 is the magic number with allmotor.

If you don't mind me asking why is that the magic number?

11.7:1 is the magic number because of diminishing returns. you gotta realize that going from 9.0:1 to 10.0:1 will get you like 10-12hp, but going from like 11.9:1 to 12.9:1 will only bring 2 or 3hp, assuming the timing and fuel are done properly, etc.
bottom line is, 11.7:1 seems to be happy medium. i mean seriously, you're not gonna make THAT much more power if you go from 11.7:1 to 12.2 or 12.5:1.
Maybe it's just my opinion, but I think it's true. I've built at least 35-40 bottom ends, and tuned motors since '99. Over 11.7:1 and you're gonna have to retard your timing, which will lose some power.
Now don't take 11.7:1 to heart. It depends on the motor. But I'm saying like 11.4-11.8:1 is all you need.

I disagree, so if you have Jun3s in 11:4:1 and a 12:5:1, the difference is only gonna be 2 or 3 HP. I look at it the more compression the bigger the cam you can run, the more HP your gonna make. Or am I wrong,
