i've never heard of the NepTune either. I'd stick to Hondata since it's easy and lots of people can tune it. I wish i would have used Hondata, but i went AEM instead. I have some problems at idle because of it.
I'll be interested to see the results though, is this a new system? how much was it?

I have a P13 (stock 4th gen VTEC ECU) tuned with NepTune.
I have FTL, and some other good stuff.
NepTune supports boost on a p13, and it is some good stuff.
If the tuner you use knows what he is doing, there is nothing wrong with being unable to change the maps yourself.
With a quality tune, the sensors in the ECU can account for elevation, weather and temperature no problem.
So far, with the shops that have access to NepTune, there isn't anyway you can go wrong. No dopes have access to this tuning solution.
Also, if you have an OBD1 4th gen, you will save all sorts of money versus hondata!
1. You already have the ECU.
2. Chipping a p13 is easier than a p72/p28
3. NepTune is only ~$100 + tuning! (Check with Jeff for actual prices)
Advantages over hondata:
You can control everything properly, even EGR if you desire.
The VSS enrichment maps match the gearing in your car.
Better customer support.
The p13 knock board will work properly with a h22.

Wow, sounds like a good system. I was under the impression that it was an all out standalone system like the AEM or Haltech, but that alternative sounds like a pretty inexpensive way of getting things done the right way. good luck with things.

My bad. I shouldn't have assumed that it was being released.

you actually use a stock p28 and socket it. then the tuen shop must charge you an additional 100 bucks to use the NepTune software.
