What Are Some Basic Things I Can Do To My Civic?
I DO NOT MEAN RICE IT OUT!
Anyways, I don't know a lot about cars and how they work,t he most I can do is pretty much put some gas in the car. We bought an old 96 Civic Hatch w/ manual transmission. And I would like to learn some car basics on the car. So what are some basic things that most people should know to take care of their car? Hopefully I can slowly learn about cars, and some day do some more advance stuff like dealing with electronics. Anyways thanks.

first, you should do a lot of reading on how the engine itself works. then do a lot of reading on how honda specific things work. then do a little more reading, and read some more. Then use the research skillsyou learned while you were hopefully in school. and then research and read some more all the while researching and reading.
thanks.

buy a chiltons manual on it and study it locate stuff on your engine (engine code) then put that in the search bar on the net (ex. d16y8) you will find lots of stuff to learn. good luck and hopefully you learn to do it the right way and not the ricer way
