That looks freakin sweet!

Looks like he's made some improvements to the old design and has still kept them affordable!

Maybe I'll sell my 5" and pick one of these up instead!

Looks like the same core to me? Just taller versions and a redesigned endtank. I'd still want the inlet/outlets to be more in the middle part of the core instead of having it on the bottom. It would seem the airflow would just go through the bottom part more.

BTW, the 3.125" depth is measured at the ENDTANKS, not the core itself.

With the inlets on the bottom it will flow the same as if it were to be in the middle.

Hot air goes up remember.

The only cutting I did was a little trimming on the lower bumper grill, however, I did not cut the grill completely out, and from the front it still looks stock. I have no AC so I was able to mount it just below, but behind the cross member without it hanging too low. My car is a total sleeper, down to stock rims and hubcaps wrapped in 14" DR's, so with that being my goal, I painted the intercooler flat black, so it is hard to see, unless you know its there.

I bought the new vesrion intercooler Tyrus came out with about a month ago. No, it is not the same core. This is much thicker than my old 6" one. It is also much taller.

Thanx for the reassurance. They "look" similar, but since you've seen both of them in person, I'll take your word for it. Any pics of the inside of the core?

i had one of his old 5 inch ones- nice piece, for the money it was the best thing out. i just wish that he would use shorter cores to help avoid possible bumper rapeage while mounting.

I got my new Johnnyracecar intercooler about 3 weeks ago. I decided to take pics for you guys who are interested. I only really took pics of the core. So you can compare it with his old design.

My customer just ordered one for a built D16 project. Should be pretty good, I can't wait to see it since I might get the same one for my hatch.
