Default 96 accord engine problems, help!

Hey, I have a 96 accord 4 cylinder vtec. Recently it started shaking quite a bit especially while accelerating. My check engine light came on so I ran down to autozone so they could check it with the OBDII computer and I got a P0304 code which is cylinder 4 misfire. Their list of what to do is check iginition, check feul injection, check vacuum. I went through the whole ignition system testing the distributor, distributor cap, ignition conrol module, spark plugs and cables. So I would rule that out. I also bought some injector cleaner to throw in my gas tank but that hasn't done much. Any suggestions? Has anyone dealt with this before? All help is greatly appreciated!

I actually went out to Autozone and bought new spargplug wires, sparkplugs, distributor cap, and ignition control module. After trying them in different combinations and all at once nothing really changed so that is how I came to the conclusion that it wasn't the ignition system. I kept the plugs and distributor cap and returned the wires and ICM. That is why I think it may be fuel injector related whether the injector isn't working or clogged or what have you. I fear the possibility that it is a pressure problem leading to an engine tear down so any help would be appreciated.

I will do that tonight since they are only $10. Could that cause just piston 4 to missfire? I would think that if it is missing on one it would miss on all but I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination. Thanks again.

If only cylinder 4 is misfiring, that would point to plug, wire, or injector. Possible distributor problem.

If piston 4 wasn't getting spark wouldn't the spark plug be all gassed up? It is as clean as the others so that is why I am assuming it is the injector. I am actually in the garage now and about to pull it apart. Let me know if anyone has any other advice. Thanks.

I fixed it. I used a screwdriver to listen to the injectors and piston 3's injector wasn't clicking. I took them out and they were all gunked up so I cleaned them and swapped 2 with 3 to make sure it wasn't a wiring harness. All the injectors still had good resistance on the ohm meter. I put it all back together and now it runs like a charm. I guess it was just messed up more than a little injector cleaner could help. Needless to say I think the next few tanks will be the high octane stuff to make sure all this gets cleaned up. Thanks for the help.
