Default squealing noise

ok i read its probably the power steering belt and you just got to tighten up the belt
can anyone explain how you do that?
sorry im not too good with this stuff.

on the back side of your power steering pump, there is a long bolt that goes from the pump to a bracket below, simply tighten that bolt to tighten the belt... you may want to loosen all the bolts holding on the pump first (itll make tightening the belt easier). if this doesnt stop the squeking you may just need a new pump. i just put in a new one last week!

well i tightened the bolt but still the things still sqeauling.....><

you might need a new belt cuz the squeal qhen u need a new one sometimes

Thats true they get a shiny glaze on when they have been slipping any length of time, and you have problems getting grip no matter how much you tighten up.

where the grooves are?
maybe its time to upgrade to some aem power pullies?

also if i get the aem pulleys off a guy with a 5th gen, would i need different belts? or is it the same? i heard sometimes it doesn't come with the right belts...

its different belts. i wouldn't recomment changing the pulleys out, i had it on my alternator, at idle the pulley was not cranking out enough current and it would my battery.

but anyways
why is it different belts?
we both have h22's but his is a 5th gen...wouldnt those belts fit on my car if i just buy it off him?

you would have to give him the belts if you sold him the pulleys, because the aem pully has its own belts when you buy them, so normally the pully is bigger and u would need a bigger belt than the factory one
