Default coolant mix

This is what i put in; a jug of honda type-2 coolant (premixed), a bottle of wetter water, and the rest is water. I was wondering is there enough rust proctection and how long does the wetter water last? Also what other coolant should I try using instead of the honda stuff.

I believe your water percentage would be a bit on the high side, sounds like a 25% coolant to 75% water mixture ,not including the water wetter. If you are using pre-mixed coolant adding the much water is probably not good. Your water wetter percentage is really high also, based on the size of your cooling system you don't usually need more than 1/3rd of a bottle, I believe it is one ounce for every quart of cooling system capacity. A full bottle is quite a bit. I am not sure how long water wetter lasts, probably as long as your coolant change interval at least. One thing I find with water wetter, is that it leaves an oil like sludge in my over-flow tank that turns a brownish colour. I have used it for a couple years now, but I am tired of cleaning my tank out all the time, so I think I am going to stop using it. I have heard of other people getting that also.
