CTR pistons...
Hey guys I am waiting on a fully built head from dh-racing right now, and while my motor is apart I decided on getting some new pistons as well, I have a b16 that has 60k on the block but i am on a pretty tight budget, I was wondering if I could put ctr pistons in it while using my stock b16a2 rods and everything. Would it be ok to just replace the pistons and piston rings? Anything else I should replace while the block is out of the car? thanks

i don't have any first hand experience with this, but i *heard* that b16a rods must be machined to fit b16b pistons. just something to look into.

I built my B16A with CTR pistons. I had the rods milled 1mm on each side to accommodate the CTR pistons. The pistons will stick out of the block about .015, just be a little cautious when choosing your head gasket and having your head milled. Also, make sure you hone the cylinders.
