Which axles to use h22 accord swap
ive got a 96 EX Accord. swapped a jdm h22 and had prelude axles in.
both boots went bad,
so i bought 2 reman. axles from an import auto parts place. I noticed before that i was getting a knockin sound that seemed like it was the exhaust swayin due to not being hung, cuz of the way i had it done(which will be hung soon) but thats not the problem, i raised my car today to start replacing axles, and i hit my wheel and it had some play in it. so i grasped the wheel and shook it, and the wheel, rotor and hub assembly had quite of bit of play in it, like the axle nut wasnt tight. so i put an impact gun to it, and it did no good. so i said to myself, maybe jus replacin it will help. NOT. finished up the axles and tightened new nuts down.....still that play in the assembly
. The question is, WHAT ARE YOU 5TH GEN ACCORD H22 GUYS USING FOR AXLES?? I think imma try some accord axles and see what it does, unless someone can tell me differently. Thanks in advance everyone!!

I was using accord axles for the first little while, but I kept snapping them at the track.
Since I switched to h22 prelude axles I haven't broke any.
They are stronger, and actualy made for the horsepower so I think that is the best way to go.

prelude axles are too long and bind that is why you use accord axles. and accord axles can handle the power, unless you induce wheel hop, at which point most axles break.
i have had OLD used accord axles take 210 whp and 205 lb/ft of toque without an issue.
