Check grounds, are you sure you got spark?

yeah, check grounds. I left the ground off a d15b7 I had a few years ago and it did the same thing. It was the one that goes from the valve cover to the frame.

Timing is what you need to check last, make sure plugs are in the right order.

on dizzy right?

I think ill recheck timing again tomorrow but im positive its dead on ive checked it 3 times now pulling timing belt off and reseting it. I check thermostat housing ground it actually was on there i must have been tired and forgot i put it on so i have 3 grounds.

1 engine harness to thermostate housing
2 front of car to valve cover and head
3 ground wire to for batter i think to chasis and to transmission.

this is just a shot in the dark, but I re-read your original post and I see you replaced the distributor. I know it is supposed to only go in one way, but I know a guy who had a F22 and his mechanic told him he had to turn the dist. shaft and then install it. Follow me? But if you were already having this problem prior to installing new dist. then disregard. I have to do more thinking on this.

Does that engine have a mass air flow sensor? If it does, then is your air intake connected? Still thinking.................
