My buddy and i are working on getting a crx for a good good deal about 400 bucks in decent condition just hood,fenders need replacing which we have that covered...now down the road there will probably be a B series in ther but for now we were thinking hmmm...he has the hook up for a full exhaust, underdrive pulley and cam gear for $300...then we started thinking well what about a D series 92-95 ex head on that bastard?
this would be great because at a cheap *** smog shop they just do a quick visual and run it for smog so i think it would pass just fine...is there a dowel kit or oil line kit for the SOHC head on D series you have to do like B series? I found some Mini me things on here but not for a D16a6 crx si motor so im not sure if there is something different i would have to do...obviously if i got a 94-95 it would be obd1 so i would have to convert right? but if i got a 92-93 is that obd0 still? like i said if someone can paste a page for mini set-up for this odb0 motor it would be great ive found them for others but not sure if its still the same set up...

 

Here's a little information, but additional information can be found in the archives. The problems you'll encouter are the timing, vtec wiring and A/F ratio from the higher compression. I consider the mini-me a nice bump in power for the price of 300-700 with all that you have to do.
