Default Missfire during acceleration?

I have an 88 Teg, D16A1, only mod is a CAI.
When I slowly accelerate it does not missfire but if I accelerate the least bit aggressively it will missfire in all cylinders. If I slowly accelerate to past 2k and then floor it there is no missfire. It idles great. The CEL is not on and there are no codes being displayed (OBD-0).
So far I have replaced the O2 sensor, TPS, coil, dist cap and rotor.
I'm about to go insane trying to solve this problem and it started three weeks ago.
Does anyone have a clue as to what could be wrong?

Thanks,
Nathan.

well it sounds like your spark is bad... as you increase load, you are dumping more fuel and spark is too weak is what it sounds like. it happened to me --it was my coil but it happened on my accord and the plugs were toast from being covered in gas. since you replaced cap, coil, rotor, pull your plugs.

Might want to check your grounding wires. I had the same problem with my gsr swap, real light on the throttle, no problem, as soon as I got on it, it would bog out.

Good Luck

I'll check the grounds. Thanks for the tip. Come to think of it i had a bad ground on my Jeep a while back that made it run like ****.

g2ic has ALOT of info! It's all gen2 related but I know alot more than I did.

There used to be a gen1 website but I have had no luck finding it. Anyone know if it still exists?

Thanks,
Nathan.

I replaced the plugs and wires tonight and so far it runs and revs just fine. I'm too drunk to drive it but I'll do that when I wake up.
