Default s2k stock exhaust?

i just got my s2k about two weeks ago and i don't have the money to get an exhaust yet. i want to cut the capped pipe and muffler after the cat and run a straight pipe through there. I was wondering if anyone knows if it would be worth it to get a little more sound out of it.

Don't just go around hacking up the exhaust for more sound. Quite the ricer thing to do in my opinion. If you can't afford an exhaust system at the moment, wait until you can, you'll be much more satisfied.

I agree. Why chop up a perfectly good exhaust just to make it louder. Just wait until you have the cash for a good exhaust and if you ever decide to go back to stock, you stocker wont be butcherded.

theres a few s owners here in the midwest that just replace the muffler section with some different canister for looks and aestetics.. believe it or not one dynoed a 3hp gain to the wheels with a universal canister!!!

thanks for the opinions guys i apriciate it. If you put canisters on instead of stock your still butchering it though and that seems more ricer to me.

when I first got my s2000, I cut open the mufflers, and gutted the chambers "bypassing" the sound supression. What I got was a slightly lighter exhuast system and a louder/raspy tone. Was it worth it? Not really. The cost was only $50 for materials and renting a welder and it was one of the first mods. I think I still have that exhuast, you can have it if you want.
